This device is great. It’s strong and I don’t have to worry about it tipping. Easy to adjust.

First time buying a desk mount and it fits my needs perfectly. I think I got lucky on this one. I’m glad they didnt lie on it being metal, because the build quality is next level since this is actually made of quality stuff. still early days, but I’m very happy.

I like this sectioned approach to the arm more than telescoping arms, it seems less likely to break. The whole unit is quite heavy overall, which is impressive and surprising to me. the desk clamp itself is quite huge, and quality metal/rubber for a secure clamp action. I have a glass top desk so we’ll see if this is bad long term, but it secures on perfectly snugly, I’m very happy.

The 4 stars on versatility is only because of my sole gripe, in line with what I saw people talk about with the points where you can tighten being there, like prongs on a many pronged gear — so that you don’t have complete freedom in angles the arm can be tightened to on each of the (I count) 3 elbow tighten screws. It’s not a big deal, but I have to report the facts here. It didnt matter for me, since there are enough points to adjust like this that you can finagle it to suit your purposes — in my case, a downward camera for Magic the gathering online commander games. A simple webcam fits perfectly here, the standard screw screws right in, and there are other sizes adapters included.

Also a bit strange the package I got was pretty bare bones, no instructions or anything at least telling me the names of the different pieces. No assembly, its no big deal — just a bit weird. but thats also typical for amazon, its ok.
Overall quality and utility are TOP notch though. Love this thing. Helps me a ton.

I was going to use this for an overheadcamera, but it ended up being a boom arm for my Blue Yeti Microphone, and it’s AMAZING. Super sturdy, unlike all the other cheaper alternatives. No shakiness, and reliable and sturdy.

I bought this to use for overhead filming with my Canon 80D. I don’t have a huge Lens on it but it’s obviously still hefty. I’m pleasantly surprised with how sturdy this is! Easy to assemble and does the job. I do have to make sure to steady the camera for a second if I have to change the focus or stop and start because it will shake slightly , but I’m glad to have it!

My Overhead Camera Mount Desk Stand, Bearing 18lb, Base& Top 360° Adjustable, with 1/4“ 3/8″ interchangeable threaded studs, is an item I have now used many times and have total confidence in, while using my Nikon Cameras and lenses. Minor issue, sometimes it vibrates A bit and takes A few seconds to settle in. A for sure recommendation from me.

Very sturdy

Went out on a limb picking this up and to my surprise it is extremely well built, sturdy (holds my Sony A6600) and works very well for overhead shots. Mostly made from metal with plastic only on some of the outer joints.

Speaking of, I was not sure about the joints as seen in the product photos but the locking claw type mechanism inside works exceptionally well preventing any slippage.

The only downside is there is no traditional height adjustment so make sure that at its lowest point this will not be too tall for your usage.

Very pleased with my purchase.

I’m sure I’ll figure it out, but there are no instructions on how to put this together…I’ll update this review later
