I received the Hawkray Solar Wireless Outdoor Camera four days ago and have been going through all its functions and battery tests. I downloaded the software and connected the camera. It connected right away with no problem. The software seems very good, there are many options in the app and it is very self-explanatory. I have other cameras, all wired, and was a bit apprehensive to use a wireless camera thinking that I would have to worry about the battery consumption all the time, but this camera has changed my mind! After the initial charge I did connect the solar panel just to see how it performed, and it worked flawlessly! I then disconnected the panel to see how long the battery would last, well that has been five days ago and the battery is still at 98%! Quite impressive! When comparing my wired camera software to O-KAM software, it seems to be much better and has more options that I can use. I charged up the battery before I positioned the camera, it only took about an hour, I then took it outside and set it on a table just to test it, it seemed to work very well. I was approximately 100’ from my router and that did not seem to be a problem, it did not lose connectivity and provided me with a terrific HD picture! I was amazed at the picture quality of this camera, I had it overlooking my driveway and I could see which delivery driver drives through my lawn (I’ve been looking for them!)! I tried some of the options, such as motion detection, it did a terrific job alerting me with a message on my iPhone immediately, there is an option for motion detection frequency which I found very useful as one issue I have with my other existing wired cameras is that they alert me way too much and I find myself ignoring them because there are just too many, so that is definitely a plus with this camera! I do have the camera set at “General” in the motion detection frequency which it says gives you “average battery life” and the battery is still full after all these days, I suspect if it is placed in “Regular” the battery should last more than a couple months, maybe three or more with no charging, quite impressive! Plus, if you connect the solar panel, it will charge it for you! There are so many options in the software to use, such as night vision, siren, white light, screenshot, record, motion detection, activity zone, person tracking, human frame and more. However, I seem to like the PTZ connection best as I can set up to five pre-positions for the camera which makes it easy to go to a previous camera setting! So helpful! You can also use Vertical Cruise and Horizontal Cruse to pan the area the camera is in, fun to use and see! It also has all the normal camera things such as sound, intercom and picture quality received (HD, Super HD & SD). You do have the option for cloud storage and/or SD storage. All in all, I am very impressed with this camera, so much so that I will be slowly changing our some of my wired cameras for this, plus its portable, you can just grab it and set it anyplace you want to monitor! So convenient! I highly recommend this camera!
