Great cameras. I have nine EZ cameras, five different models. The app is great. Excellent video quality. Build quality is excellent. I have four Nest cameras. The Nest cameras are three times the price and one third the quality of the Ez Viz.
This camera was excellent at first, however after about 1 month the camera stopped toggling to moment picked on video. It also got stuck pointing upward, in which we had to force it down so that it wouldn’t be tilted up recording the top of the living room. Overall good picture quality dispute now limited range of movement.
Purchased EZVIZ 4MP Indoor Camera, Pan/Tilt Baby Pet Monitor with AI Human and Pet Detection in the Summer of 2022, I set it up and got brief moments of working using WiFi, followed the camera going offline. Updated the software hoping for improved reliability. Connection issues remained. After never getting more than about 24 hours of being online, and in spite of excellent WiFi signal on my phone in the location of the camera, I decided to eliminate all doubt about signal strength and installed a WiFi repeater 4 feet away and in direct line of sight of the camera. Nonetheless, the camera regularly goes offline and requires extensive fiddling (power cycling) to coax it back online–sometimes only long enough to see a single image or make one panning motion with the Pan/Tilt controls. I’ll see an image and attempt to pan or tilt the camera and it seems to throw-up on itself and go offline. As I was always intending to get a second camera, I went ahead and purchased a different brand of camera and install it in the same location and do side-by-side comparisons. The other brand is responsive and is reliable in the same location this camera fails. As noted, the app is poorly designed and includes something akin to nagware, encouraging me to use their cloud-services. This camera is a big nope.
Setting up these devices, you are told to use your phone. Which appears to be the default way of experience using this camera. And that experience is terrible, and my review reflected that. There are hardly any options such as determining how little light there should be before turning on night vision. Or being able to deactivate night vision mode entirely. Altering brightness, sharpness, contrast etc video settings. However, all these options and more are completely customizable if you install the Ezviz Studio PC program instead and log into your account, which was a complete game changer, they do not tell you about this on the mobile app, and all of the instructions say to just use your phone.
I had to go back and completely change my review. Originally, I was extremely disappointed in the cameras. They seemed to work great in daylight, but would turn to night vision at the drop of a dime when visibility was still completely fine. The lack of any ability to customize how your cameras worked, earned them a very low review. However since discovering the PC program, I am absolutely in love with these cameras.
Ezviz support is terrible. I have a support ticket from Sept 22 (3 weeks ago) and they are sending one email per day, either asking a question, asking for pictures of the camera, or asking for more info. It’s been a week now since I’ve heard back from EZVIZ, they have not answered any of my emails, just asking questions and asking for more pictures. I’ve got a broken camera, under warranty and nothing I can do to have it fixed. I’ve called the phone number for EZVIZ Canada and they hand up on me two times, third time the person I talked to she said to go ahead and put a support ticket and they will reply to me via email.
Update – EZVIZ support came through after a few months and they sent a new replacement camera…

Lo que más me interesa es evitar las falsas alarmas, pues si recibes diariamente 4-5 notificaciones de falsos saltos al final acabas por no hacer caso, y el sistema se vuelve ineficaz.
Lo mejor que tiene es la detección de movimiento de personas por inteligencia artificial, ya que activándola te aseguras que no vas a tener falsos avisos, y para mí esos es una gran tranquilidad.
Por lo demás, una cámara muy correcta, con buen angular y calidad de imagen.
