These cameras are very small, have a very slim profile, and are capable of both standing and being mounted.The packaging for them was fantastic. Snug fit inside the outer carton. Protective film over each camera lens. Sheathes for each charger. A nice long cord for each camera. The cameras themselves are very appropriately sized, have four mounting holes on the base, and swivel on their mounting easily yet securely. Position them, and they don't move at all even if you tap on them!Hookup is very easy. Power the camera on, within seconds it lets you know it's booted up internally and is ready for connection. The app they use is quick to download on your various devices, and it picks up the cameras almost instantly.Video quality is good. I was able to clearly see everything, observe movement without delays, and capture video and images at a high enough quality to read the titles on some books my kids left out. The storage allowed via SD card is sufficient for having the cameras in 'motion' mode; I used a NAS setup to store video, similar to an NVR.The two-way voice feature is a bit quiet, but it passes when the cameras are positioned intelligently.All in all, I was quite happy with the price point and the quality I received from the cameras. So the only thing I don't like of these cameras that I know of yet is if I am in a meeting or something I don't know that there is a way to not get notified of specific camera activity without turning off the motion sensor alert all together.
Doesn't work with PCs, only Android devices or iOS. Picture is sharp and clear, easy to set up. HOWEVER the thing will drive you nuts with false alarms. Reason? So they can sell you the subscription upgrade whereby they will give you the human detection already built into the camera but turned off. Sending them back. ANY little movement of anything, Tree branches or leaves moving outside, shadows on the drapes, sunlight reflecting off cars, headlights of cars. They are a scam.
We brought these cameras for added security and to check on the dog when we went out. So easy to set up - just download the app and follow instructions to connect to the camera(s). Very clear image in HD and sound quality also good. I chose the free cloud trial but SD card/cloud not required if you just want to watch live and not playback. Motion detection very good but the video can skip or freeze for a few second sometimes but nothing to really complain about for the price. Live speaker can be a bit muffled at times. I have tested the watch live option whilst out and it works extremely well when you have good phone signal. Comes with option to screw camera into the wall but we have it on the sturdy stand as the camera angle is adjustable. I have already recommended these to friends and won’t hesitate to buy these ones again if needed!
This twin camera set is very good quality in my opinion. Our child monitor broke so we Needed something quick and easy. This setbis ideal as we could use it afterwards as we arent going to need the child monitor much longer. You can set sensitivty settings in the app depending on where the camera is and the amount of sound or movement in that area. Its HD so the qualitybis good and is easy to set up with WIFI. You can set the way it records and turn on motion and sound detection from anywhere. As far as I am aware you can have only one master phone to adjust these settings but I may be wrong. Cameras can be shared with other users so they have access. A great camera, quality and price.
Grabbed a pair of these delivered for £37, expecting they'd be just about competent.
Well I was surprised. They are superb! Seriously quick and simple to set up, they come with power supplies and the picture quality is excellent. Great wide angle coverage too.
I use the Arenti app which is very simple to navigate, and it has some excellent features including the ability to change the stream resolution between SD, HD (720) and FHD (1080), and there's an image flip feature if one needs to mount one upside down.
Recording can be to an SD card, to Arenti's cloud service or direct to a device if the app is running.
Can't quibble at this price. Excellent value for money.
I bought this product just under a year ago and it is already broken!
The connection between the base and power cable has completely broken - with no way to fix it. It has barely been touched this, only been switched on/off at the plug socket so this is solely a design/manufacturer issue.
Worst things is that I paid £50 and because it's been a year - no refund!! Very upset as my dog has seizures and I need a way to keep watch over him whilst out of the house...
I bought these when they were on offer as I wanted two cameras to put in my catio. Out of the box they're fine and work exactly as advertised but I didn't want the microphone or speaker to always be active so I disconnected the speaker and de-soldered the microphone. I also upgraded the lens for a wider FOV (M12 x 0.5 for anyone wishing to do the same). I did have to modify the case for the wider lens but it almost looks stock.
I ONLY use the cameras for the RTSP stream so I can't comment on the cloud service/motion detection/app alerts etc.
A few issues I do have; The RTSP port can't be changed from 8554 (I've also tried to change it in ODM). I wish there were some +/- sliders to override the brightness as it can sometimes get too bright. I just wish there were more control of the cameras in the advanced options.
