This solar wifi camera is pretty similar to another I have, which is to say — adequate. Setup can be a little frustrating as their software can’t tell you WHY a configuration failed. It just takes a long time trying then times out. It’s up to YOU to guess why it isn’t happy. If, for instance, you load in the wifi password wrong, the installer won’t tell you that was the problem. Or, if your phone is on a 5G channel and the camera on a 2G, it won’t tell you that’s why it failed, etc. etc. Installation takes patience.

Once operational, this camera operates similar to my other solar wifi camera. Because it’s operating on battery, it isn’t always-on, but only turns on to record a short video when its motion detector gets triggered. Recording those events to the SD card is cheaper than the “cloud service” — which isn’t necessary to use the camera, btw.

Viewing in HD seems to freeze the frame. No live video in HD, apparently. The video is smooth and “live” in SD, though. The red and blue “alarm” lights are a little fluffy. Would a real burglar be put off by them? I’m using the camera for predator monitoring and alarm for live stock so the pseudo-law-enforcement lights are of no use.

I do like that I can set the tracking speed: Low, Medium, High. The longer cord for the solar panel lets me mount the panel where there’s sun, which is often NOT where I want the camera.

Overall, I’m satisfied. Not super-impressed, but satisfied.

This solar security camera was easy to set up and configure after watching the video link in the instruction manual. Being solar-powered makes it easy to install in higher locations. Cloud storage is available through the app but accepts a 128 GB micro SD card. It is easy to control the motion with all the provided features and functions. It has a flood light, motion, indicator, speaker, and microphone. It has extendable antennas to broaden the range of the Wi-Fi network. The app works nicely, and you can manually control the camera via the app. The only downfall is not being 5g, which is significant. I could see this camera if you have acreage but not for a typical suburban home lots.

A very well made security camera mounting bracket, it is made with all aluminium with black finish which is great for outdoor use and you do not have to worry about it getting rusted.
This is perfect for the LitioKam security camera that I just bought which does not have a good mounting bracket.
$9.99 for two brackets is a very reasonable price for what you get.

These appear to be well made camera mounts. They are primarily fabricated from metal and come completed with screws and wall anchors. The screw mount fits most Arlo cameras and the positioning of the cameras is easy using the locking nut

The camera has two power ports: one is a proprietary port. Another one is a standard USB-C. I am excited for the USB-C one because it could mean that you can find a solar panel that has a USB-C output connector to work with this camera. In another word, if the solar panel is broken, it may be easy to find a replacement. Another thing I like is the solar panel can be installed on the top of the camera or another location of your choice. There are 2 sets of wires to support this design. I like the flexibility of installation. Third thing I like is it uses UBox app to control the camera. I know there are several vendors using UBox. I already have this app for several cameras. This allows me to use one app for multiple cameras. So I applaud for the vendor using a common app instead of a proprietary one. The camera and the solar panel are bit of larger comparing to other security cameras I reviewed recently. But they work great.
