This is a great "instant" camera. Load the thermal paper, fire, and forget. 5 year old approved, though mind the assembly holding the black roller; its pretty breakable. Even broken, just put the spindle in manually, and remove it manually, the camera still works great and produces some cool LoFi pictures for the cost of a roll of thermal paper, so really cheap. So far this camera has been through 5 rolls of thermal paper and is still going strong despite being dropped, splashed, rained on a little, thrown, and left in the cold and hot. Not saying to do that, but, hey good to know its user tolerant.
Does it compare to polaroid or fuji? No. Not at all. Its black and white thermal paper. Does it make some cool memories, inspire kids and adults, and generate conversation for whoever sees it? Yes. totally.
