I own several Wyze cams and decided to try this brand simply because the price benefit and the convenience of solar power is a no-brainer choice. Plus, the camera is designed for outdoor and water resistance, so it’s ideal for my backyard coverage, where I do not want to run any wires at all.
Easy to Setup
The initial setup process is similar to Wyze; as long as you have the wifi credentials configured, the camera is ready to go. The app is straightforward, clean, and easy to use without confusion. The package included all necessary brackets, mounting sticker, screws, and washer for both camera and the solar panel to be wall-mounted. I can tell the company paid much attention to small details so we could complete the camera setup quickly.
Image Quality and Recording
The image quality is decent (it seems like a typical HD resolution), but I haven’t seen delayed videos. It’s got infrared lights to aid the night vision and alarming lights. If you spot any weird activity and want to send the siren on-site, that’s a handy little function included. Ohh btw you have two-way audio and can speak and listen to the site. You can replay past motion-triggered events, and it retrieves videos pretty quickly. You will get alerts from the app if any motion events occur. They seem to offer free cloud storage for the first year (what a gift! 😱), so I will give it a try.
So far, the camera serves my need for a completely outdoor solar-powered solution, and I’m satisfied. This is just my brief overview, and I’ll have to run it for a while and give a decent review later.
