I’m pretty sure that most people that buy these things know what they’re doing, but for a complete ignoramus who is new to all of this malarky, the set up was not straight forward at first. This is because the box arrives without any set up instructions in a plain box. The video on Amazon talks about pressing an “add app” button but doesn’t tell you any more. It took quite a while to track down an Apple app in the App store called iCam365. Once you’ve got this, the rest is reasonably straight forward. Setting up an account and then sharing it took a few goes, but I was successful in the end and all is working as I envisioned it would. I marked it down to 3 stars and not 5 because it wasted so much of my time because of the initial lack of information.

I bought these after a man came into my kitchen for his loose dog he was walking on my garden and claimed he had a right to be there cos I was “only renting so didn’t own the house”. He was very abusive and it shook me up. I originally sent them back as the cables are pathetically short and they have a moulded plug. I didn’t want to plug them in outside either.

I bought battery operated ones but the battery life was bad so I re-bought these. My son extended the wire and fitted junction boxes and put them up. I’ve no complaints except to make them fit for purpose he had to invalidate the warranty. They work great, have good vision in day time. Night is a bit disappointing as the full colour mode is not an option even tho it is advertised as being part of the set up. This means it is hard to describe intruders to the police as they all look the same. I have already had this happen.

Update. Both got smashed while I was away for one night and I got burgled. Waste of money as I cannot see who got in.

The image quality exceeded my expectations and the sound quality is great. The night vision capability of these cameras far exceed what I expected them to do. The problem is durability. The first set I purchase I installed on the front and back walls of my garage. They worked great for the first month ,then the back camera went offline for 5 days then started working again. That lasted 2 weeks then offline again. After following all the T/S procedures with no luck, I brought the camera inside and plugged it in. It was completely dead. The front camera was working fine. Since the other camera was working I bought another set and installed them. Working fine, only in use for 3 days so far. 1 day after I started using the new cameras the original front garage camera has gone offline. Still working on the T/S procedures for that one. Because of this only a 3 star rating.

For the money these cameras are brilliant, easy to use and take hardly any setting up. Highly recommended

Now I can keep eye on pond and shed can’t fault them and I’m running them on mobile router in summer house 100 metres down
garden £10 month for network worth every penny for these cameras
