I really like this BYYBUO Tablet 10.1 inch Android 12 Tablet. I’ll start off by stating that my “other” tablet is an iPad. I promised myself I wouldn’t compare the two machines because, well, the iPad was considerably more expensive than this Android tablet. This huge price difference makes comparisons unfair. So I’ll just say that for the price, the Byybuo is a really capable and useful machine.
Some of the things that I really like about the Byybuo are:
1) It is very well put together of quality materials, and it is very solid
2) The tablet is indeed powered by Android 12 (I confirmed this in the settings). That’s one version behind the latest, which isn’t too bad. Version 12 looks to me to be highly polished, and I didn’t notice any glitches yet.
3) All the software that came pre-installed on the machine was Google-provided (as far as I can tell). There was no “bloatware” as I’ve heard is sometimes a problem on inexpensive tablets.
4) The two cameras on the unit are actually pretty good. I wouldn’t choose the tablet as my main go-to camera, but I think that the image quality of the pictures I’ve taken with it so far have a pleasing quality.
5) The battery life seems very good.
6) The screen is super-sharp, bright, and has great colors. The touch surface is very responsive and accurate.
7) I like that the tablet accepts memory expansion cards, in case I ever run out of storage. Although this may not be likely, it’s nice to know that the capability is there.
8) I like that the tablet comes packaged with a case to provide a measure of protection, and to cover the screen when not in use. It also doubles as a stand that can be comfortably held on the lap, or placed on a desk or table. Also noteworthy is that the AC USB adapter is actually INCLUDED with the package. How many devices can claim this nowadays?
9) Performance playing videos online has been flawless.
OK, enough praise, it’s clear that there is a lot to like about the Byybuo. So what’s not to like? That list is quite a bit shorter, but in the time I’ve used the machine I have just a couple of cons:
1) The built in speakers sound bad. They are very tinny-sounding, with ultra-low bass response. Not a deal-killer for me, I use tablets with headphones most of the time anyway.
2) When scrolling through web pages, the motion of the information up or down the page is a bit on the jerky side. It’s not terrible, but it’s not perfectly fluid either. I tried with the Chrome and Edge browsers and the experience was about the same. Not a big deal, just something I’m not used to. All the other apps I’ve used so far haven’t had similar issues.
In conclusion, I think that this tablet has a lot more going for it than against it. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the feature set, quality, and usability of the machine for most common tasks make it a true bargain for the price. I would recommend it!
